Introducing Shauna Vaske, a powerhouse in the beauty industry with a dynamic approach to self-care and personal transformation. With a career spanning well over 15 years, Shauna has mastered the art of creating a space where every client feels not only valued but truly heard.
Specializing in transformative cut and color techniques, Shauna masters in creating texture and dimension to craft exceptional looks. Shauna loves to push the boundaries of traditional hair cutting. Her foundation is deeply rooted in structure, but she thrives on breaking it up, feeling the texture, and freehanding the perfect shape. Natural-lived in, and fun edgy multi-dimensional colors are her specialty, and short cuts are her absolute jam! Additionally, Shauna expertly adds length and volume with premium hair extensions. Her skillset also includes permanent makeup, lash lifts, tints, and brow laminations, all carefully tailored to enhance and refine your personal look.
Shauna launched Hair Mechanix in 2017 and wasn’t about to stop there. She snagged her permanent makeup and tiny tattoo license in 2020 —further solidifying her position as an industry innovator. The Spa, launched in the same year, was followed by The Suite in 2022, and the addition of permanent jewelry in 2024. Always on top of the latest trends, Shauna’s all about evolving with the industry and making sure you look—and feel—amazing.

With over four years of experience, Taylor is dedicated to delivering precise, customized hair services that complement each client’s style and lifestyle. She is highly skilled in both color and haircutting, specializing in seamless, low-maintenance color techniques for blondes and brunettes as well as tailored cuts that enhance natural movement and shape.
Taylor’s approach focuses on technical excellence, attention to detail, and creating results that grow out beautifully—so clients can enjoy hair that remains flattering, manageable, and true to their personal style between visits.

Jacquelyn Rupp, M.Ed. (she/hers) is a multi-award-winning makeup artist and the owner of First Looks LLC. Alongside her 10+ years in wedding makeup artistry, Jacquelyn also has a professional background in counseling and education - and her work with First Looks blends these skills together for a trauma-informed beauty experience.
While that may sound like something heavy or intense, being a trauma-informed makeup artist simply means that Jacquelyn recognizes, understands, and works to continually address the potential impacts of trauma (and other mental health needs!) on how someone might experience her and her services. From consent- and comfort-based application techniques to a deep respect for the ways our identities and experiences shape how we might feel about “beauty”, makeup, or our bodies, First Looks is about offering beauty you can truly feel.
